ITP TERRA HOOK TIRES

ITP, the world’s #1 ATV/UTV aftermarket tire and wheel source, recently launched its 8-ply radial Terra Hook high performance, all-terrain tire.

Available in nine key sizes and made in the USA, the Terra Hooks are designed to fit virtually any SxS and utility ATV application. ITP claims the Terra Hooks to possibly be its most versatile product yet.

Perhaps the most defining characteristic about the Terra Hook tire is its non-directional tread design. With alternating shoulder elements and multi-angled lugs, the Terra Hook offers grip in any direction with enhanced forward and reverse motion – giving off-road enthusiasts supreme traction and radial tire performance over roots, rocks and other trail conditions.

Dirt Trax recently put a set of 30-inch ITP Terra Hooks to the test on our Can-Am Maverick Trail to see if they could live up to the claim of being the “ultimate high-performance trail riding tire”.

We were especially impressed with the grip when cornering hard as the vehicle tried to resist sliding. Exiting corners and hooking up quickly was described by AJ as “earth chewing traction” thanks to the unique tread design which has just the right combination of lugs and space (tread to void ratio) to maximize traction while properly draining mud, water and debris.

Furthermore, the Terra Hooks provided a smooth feel that wasn’t choppy and at the end of the day left us feeling less fatigued because of these tires’ proficiency to provide reduced vibration through the seat, chassis and even the steering wheel.

The Terra Hook tire is available in today’s most popular sizes ranging in 26-32 inches in diameter with an MSRP of $155-$203.
