The innovative Outlaw 525 will be the first Polaris to benefit from the KTM/Polaris partnership announced this time last year.
In a bold move Polaris has developed an Outlaw powered by KTM’s Austrian-built, firecracker 510cc 4-stroke motorcycle engine.
This mill, revered in the motocross world, features OHC 4-valve technology delivering a burst of 4-stroke grunt Polaris immediately proclaimed will make the new 525 Outlaw the “fastest accelerating production ATV available”. We do not disagree with this assertion.
The company underscored this proclamation with more good news: the Outlaw has shed weight in the process tipping in at a scary-light 395 pounds (claimed).
The Outlaw is also the world’s first (and only) Pure Sport ATV utilizing independent rear suspension (IRS).
Honestly, just thinking about this cannon makes our palms sweaty. The 500cc Outlaw will still be available in 2007.
