Press Release –
When Motoworks / Can-Am DS 450 racer Josh Frederick pulled to the starting line at round three of the World Off-Road Championship Series near Lake Havasu, Arizona, he was on a mission to win.
With the drop of the gate, Frederick quickly took the Pro-class lead and during the course of the 18-lap race, continued to add to that lead until he crossed the finish line more than five minutes ahead of second place.
“With Josh taking the Pro points lead, we are looking forward to extending that lead by the end of round four,” says Jimmie O’Dell, Racing Manager for Can-Am ATVs at BRP. “Josh and his team are committed to bringing the number-one plate back to the Motoworks / Can-Am race team.”
Frederick’s pro-class teammate, Dillon Zimmerman had a solid race on his Motoworks DS 450, finishing fifth in the class.
Amateur rider, Cole Henry, ran into some handling issues midway through the race and came into the pits for repair work to a broken ball joint. He made it back onto the course, but had to settle for a top 15 finish at the end of the Pro-Am race.
The next round in the WORCS championship is April 23-25 near Adelanto, CA.
Racer Quotes
“I had a good race. The bike was running great and I’m happy to be back in the points lead. It was a sandy track and it got pretty rough at the end but I still had a good time and IÂ’m looking forward to the next round.” – Josh Frederick
