Press Release –
Can-Am Finishes Strong At Last Weekend’s AMA and GNCC ATV Races
Riders on Can-Am™ ATVs had much success last weekend in both the GNCC race series and at the AMA ATV Motocross race.
With an off weekend coming up, they look to build on that success for the next rounds of ATV racing.
At the Loretta Lynn GNCC near Hurricane Mills, TN, Team Warnert Racing / Can-Am rider Bryan Buckhannon dominated the 4×4 Open class on his Can-Am Outlander™ 800R EFI ATV finishing six minutes ahead of second place.
His teammate Michael Swift, also aboard an Outlander 800R, took first place in the 4×4 Limited class.
That weekend also saw BRP riders place three DS 450™ EFI ATVs in the top ten of the Pro class at the AMA ATV Motocross National near Danville, VA.
Team Warnert Racing / Can-Am racers John Natalie and Cody Miller took fourth and fifth respectively, while Team Motoworks / Can-Am racer Jeremy Lawson took eighth overall.
In the amateur classes, Cole Henry took the Four-Stroke A class win on his DS 450, while Angela Adkins took first place in the Women’s class. Adkins was also riding a DS 450.
“Our racers continue to be extremely successful on Can-Am ATVs and are getting a lot of seat time this weekend to prep for upcoming races,” says Delton Bohlman, Racing Manager for Can-Am ATVs at BRP.
“We look forward to seeing amateur racers like Cole Henry and Angela Adkins continue to have more success on the DS 450 like they did in Virginia; it really shows our Amateur racing support program is working excellent.”
Other racing highlights from the Loretta Lynn GNCC included Warnert / Can-Am racer Cliff Beasley easily winning the 4×4 Lites class on his Outlander 500 EFI ATV. In the 4×4 Limited class, Outlander ATVs swept the top three spots, and comprised seven of the 11 ATVs entered in the class.
The next GNCC race will be Titan GNCC near Lafayette, TN on May 2. The next AMA ATV Motocross is near Walnut, IL on May 2-3.
