Chris Borich and his Yoshimura-powered Suzuki QuadRacer R450 put an exclamation mark on their championship-winning 2010 season on Saturday by dominating the finale of the GNCC ATV season at the Ironman in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
Borich lead from wire to wire and finished the two-hour long woods race more than a minute ahead the rest of the pack. Borich is now the back-to-back GNCC ATV Champion and will keep the coveted No. 1 plate on his quad throughout the 2011 season.
Borich started Saturday’s race off right, nabbing the holeshot and never letting off the throttle of his Yoshimura-prepped quad. The racecourse was challenging with a little bit of mud and plenty of dusty, fast sections.
Borich didn’t have to worry about other racers’ roost, because he led the entire race and finished well ahead of the rest of the field. The win at the season finale marks Borich’s 11th victory of the 13-race season, proving that he is indeed a champion.
“I got a good start and I knew I had the championship all wrapped up, so I decided to go out put the hammer down to see what I could pull,” said Borich. “It was just an awesome day out there and I was having a ball all by myself.”

Other Yoshimura racers were also on hand this year in the GNCC circuit. ATV MX racer Harold Goodman spent his first GNCC season on his Yoshimura-prepped Honda TRX450R and finished just outside the top 10 with a solid 11th-place finish, and Thomas Brown made his GNCC debut this year aboard his Yoshimura Yamaha YFZ450R.
