Big Players Play Big

In rapid fire succession the two Minnesota based ATV makers, Polaris and Arctic Cat, have announced major production (Arctic Cat) and Research and Development (Polaris) ventures this summer.

Polaris opened its amazing 126,000 square-feet R&D and testing facility in Wyoming, Minnesota in late June. The facility is now up and running and will provide employment for almost 200 before the end of this year.

The $35.5 million center will take motorcycle and ATV engineering out of the company’s Roseau, Minnesota main production premises, leaving only snowmobile engineering, for obvious reasons, in the snowy Northern Minnesota town where it all began fifty-one years ago.

Polaris claims the facility is essential for the company to continue its long tradition of product innovation, critical to the company’s competitive future.
