If you have a pulse and a wallet, oh and live in Canada, you no doubt are frustrated by the difference in price for the exact same units sold in America vs. Canada.
With the Canadian dollar reaching parity a while back and then recently becoming stronger than an ever-weakening American greenback, stories run rampant of groups of guys going south of the border and bringing back brand new units at a significant savings.
This makes it hard for Canadian dealers to gain traction or credibility for what’s available in their showrooms. In reality their hands are tied and unless selling at a loss, just can’t offer a competitive MSRP to that of American dealers.
Good news though for Canadian buyers though. Can-Am, recognizing a problem has stepped up to the plate and made an across the board slash to Canadian pricing on its ATVs and side-x-sides. Buyers can expect price reductions over last season’s products anywhere from $350 to $1150 (CDN) on 2012 units.
This is big news for Canadians! We’ve even taken a great deal of flack in the past from disgruntled Canadians accusing us of being soft on OEMs over this particular issue.
Though we can’t take credit for this decision by Can-Am, we’re happy to know our readers on this side of the border will see a bit of a break when they visit their local Can-Am dealer.
