A 2008 650 Can-Am Outlander in stock trim arrived at our ultra top secret test facility a few weeks ago.
Although we rode the 08’s at the Can-Am intro a while back, it’s always exciting to get some seat time on the actual production units.
For 2008, the 650 received a few very minor tweaks plus some new fascia pieces to refine this beast of a v-twin.
Â
The new digital gauge is a beautiful addition and is action-packed with loads of features to output all the information you’ll need. From a distance, it appears very similar to the previous digital/mechanical hybrid however up close its completely digital – all wrapped up in a neat little package.
A new tail light and surrounding fascia tidy up the rear end of the Outlander while a few other covers and guards nicely redefine this unit.

Although we love the stock 650 Outlander we chose the ’08 for an upcoming hop-up project. We’ll be using aftermarket products from manufacturers like Stadium Suspension, ITP, Aaen Performance, EPI Clutch components, K&N, Attitude Industries and BRP for some of the wild performance enhancements.
