Dear Motorhead,
I’m considering a side X side (probably a new Rhino or RZR) and I will need to install hand controls because I’m a quadriplegic.
What’s the scoop on using hand controls on the major side x side players?

You are comparing two pretty different SXS models. The RZR is an outperforming, single minded, rip-roaring SXS that’s for fun “riding” predominantly. The Rhino is less sporty but has an added measure of utility.
If you’re looking for utility I would also suggest you consider a number of other SXS models in your selection. The RZR – right now – is uncomparable.
I have no knowledge or info on SXS hand controls at this time.
