After Team UXC’s Kevin Trantham would win in 4×4 Pro on his Scrambler 850, at GNCC Round 6, in Odessa, NY, teammate Michael Swift would top the box at Round 7.

Swift and teammate Kevin Trantham went fourth and fifth off the start into the woods for a two hour battle. Swift worked his way into the second place position by mid race, while Trantham encountered a radiator problem after passing through a rock section.

Starting the third lap, Swift hit a tree stump hidden in a rock section that caused him to fall back into fourth place. Just before the start of the last lap, Swift made a charge to close the gap and catch the leaders. By the three mile marker, he had done just that.

On an uphill rocky section, he was able to make a pass on the leader and take over the Pro 4×4 class lead with the Polaris Scrambler 850. Swift was able to hold the lead and put over a 20 second gap between him and second place, giving Polaris Factory Racing another Pro Class Victory.

“What a day! My Polaris Scrambler 850 worked excellent and took the punishment through the rocks and allowed me to make a comeback for another win. I am so proud of our team and thankful for all the products our sponsors build,” stated Swift.

Team UXC rider Don Higbee finished with another strong podium finish taking third in the 40+ 4×4 class on his Scrambler 850. Nic Snyckers also brought home a podium finish with a third place in the 4×4 C class.

The Single-Seat class would see seven Polaris ACEs take to the line including Jesi Stracham in her No. 820 Racer Tech/UTVScene.com ACE. This would be Stracham’s first race back after a motorcycle accident would leave her paralyzed and unable to race her ATV.

Thanks to Racer Tech, UTVScene.com and many other sponsors who made it possible to modify her ACE, Stracham would get the opportunity to return to the track and would take fifth place. Doug Fortner would take the win with Team UXC’s Marc Spataro taking second and Sam Yokley taking third.

The next GNCC race is the John Penton, in Millfield, Ohio, June 5-6, which will include ATV, UTV and Single-Seat classes.
