Honda has turned the spotlight back on the Rincon this year with improvements guaranteed to broaden its appeal.
The engineers have bumped up the Rincon’s displacement to 675cc’s by increasing the bore from 100mm to 102mm and switching to steel cylinder liners.
A higher lift camshaft puts peak power in the upper mid range and the combination of cam timing and increased displacement, according to one of our test riders who sampled the new engine, makes a “huge difference” in performance.
Honda claims a seven percent increase, but in our test pilot’s opinion it feels like way more – especially off the bottom when you tip in the throttle.
